We were honoured to welcome illustrator Karen Harte to our school recently. Karen visited a number of our classes and the children were thrilled to learn about the exciting world of illustration. They asked wonderful questions and gained a fascinating insight into how stories and pictures come together in a book.
Our Junior Infants especially enjoyed their time with Karen, taking part in a fun drawing session where they learned some fantastic illustration skills and tips.
Karen Harte is the illustrator of the Milly McCarthy and the St Patrick’s Day Pandemonium, one of the featured books for this year’s World Book Day, which made her visit even more special for the children.
